tables are the only way.

yeah they slow the page down but how else can you get
pixel perfect layout across most of the browsers?
and they don't slow it down that badly.

I have a dream one day of creating a picture using
only cell background colours for each pixel. 

Just curious to see if anyone else is more sad than me
and has already done it! I have too little spare time
as it is...
