Saving from a website

Hi there,

Please before anyone raises "copyright", "stealing" etc. I am just looking
for an answer to the following... and to clarify. I am not stealing any
pics, just wondering why it does this...

My partner asked me the question and I could not answer the following:

If he tries to save a picture on the net, in Netscape (right click) it
automatically saves as the current form..eg: jpg. gif etc, however if he
tries to save the same picture using internet explorer it automatically
saves it as a bitmap. Is this a setting in IE that is not set up correctly?
