When making thumbnails, often you don't have to use the entire image to make
the thumbnail. You can cut a relevant portion of the image and resample (or
resize) just that part. This will help keep some of your quality, as you are
not making (for example) a 400X400 image to 100X100. You would be resizing a
200X200 part of the image to 100X100.
