G'day List, Last year I began constructing a web site at: <http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Parthenon/5198> The early pages included historic photos that I scanned and converted to gif format - I now use jpeg format - but those early pages are still in gif format. An example of the early work can be found at: <http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Parthenon/5198/nedt.html> Now the problem is that they have always appeared quite clear to me when I have looked at them through NN but the other day when I was at the Australian Archives office one of the researchers looked at my page in IE and the photos (and gifs on the entry pages) looked terrible. They were gloomy and the detail (such as it is from the old photos) was very difficult to see. (BTW the problems with the Australian Archive attributes on the photos are entirely down to me.) Could somebody please have a look at it and give me some clues on how to fix the problem and give me some idea of why it happened in the first place. Thanks in advance. Stuart
