Happy99 virus

I've seen messages describing this file attachment to a previous message
posted to the group as a "trojan horse" virus. 

Can anybody tell me what this means? I opened this file in my PC before
knowing what it was and want to know what damage it might do to my pc.
Norton Antivirus didn't detect it!!
