oops, forgot to mention that this discussion had been covered recently on
the list ... you can find it in the archives at the http://www.hwg.org
site, under lists/archives or something like that.
this is a good resource for anybody new to this or the other HWG lists --
many of these topics come up repeatedly, and you might find a quicker
answer to some of the simpler questions at the archives for the appropriate
list.
