Speaking of file size, I was curious what numbers consititute a 'too large' size for gif and jpeg web images. I understand images come in all file sizes of course, but is there a file size a designer should shoot for staying under in a web site, for downloading ease, ie. no more than 60K if possible?
*c) Image data. For files under, say, 20K I would recommend to use the
* GIF format. Remember that JPEG has to be stored with 16.7 million
* colors, no matter what the actual image data are.
