Hello Everyone,
I would like to hear comments about the correctness or lack of
correctness regarding the following statement. Your opinions will be
greatly appreciated. TIA ...Kent

About Fonts: fonts are an element of Internet publishing which often present
challenges to end users as well as web page designers. As the technology
advances
these challenges should become less. The companies making the software must
begin to agree on standards. The new "font embedding" technology should
allow us to use lots of good fonts. Unfortunately, because of different
standards between MS and Netscape, 2 sets of code would be needed to have
the fonts show correctly in both browsers, of which only 4+ versions will
show them. The only alternative is that We writers must limit our font
usage to what we are sure most people will have, and this puts a real
strain on creativity. It also means the pages won't look nearly as nice as
they could. Even if font embedding were consistent between the 2 main
companies which provide it, only a small fraction of users have the #4
versions which do provide it. What to do?
