I'm sure the owner would - that's very inexpensive for what they want!  Use
that as a  "lower end" scale and point out that, unlike the school kid they
hired before, YOU are a professional and both your services and your price
will indicate that.

Don't be sucked in.  My mother says that it's better to work for peanuts
and have work then not to work at all.  That's probibly why my mother never
had a successful career.  Although you need the work, if you work for
peanuts, you will be treated that way and will never be given the respect
you deserve.
