Background Image Probs on Mac w/AOL

Hello all,

The answer to this question will tell me if I've sent this to the correct
list <g>, so here goes:

A page I've designed has, by my client's insistence, a large background
image (1200x422 - 30K). Although it takes awhile to download, it looks OK
in NN, MSIE, and Opera running on an IBM-type PC. However, the client,
while viewing it via AOL's browser on a Mac, says the image appears "all
bunched up" and repeats many times down the length of one screen.

I was hoping someone out there can tell me why this might be happening and
perhaps offer some suggestions (aside from the obvious solution of choosing
a more appropriate background image!).

I'd also appreciate it if someone with a Mac and AOL's browser might take a
look at it and verify my client's claim.
