Take your background image and blur the crap out of it until it blurs into
one collective color.
Take your dropper tool and get that blurred color.


Take each single menu item that you will be making transparent (you did
save backups, right?) and fill the background layer of each of those images
with that blurred, collective color (from the looks of your background
image, it should be a bluish color).

Now flatten your layers (but create a backup copy first) and make your
transparent gifs again; except, this time they wont have that white glow. 

Easy. No Jaggies.
