messed up in photoshop

hi all,

i use a photo image as my background. first i saved it to jpeg (quality = 5, size = 37.7KB) with adobe photoshop. then i used web graphic optimizer to compress it to 15.5KB. when i view it with netscape, and acdsee, the image just looks good (not too much difference with the original). but when i open it with adobe photoshop, it messed up. all the colour turned blue, and grey stripes came out. what happened??? will it be ok in another ppls browser if i put image like that on the web??? please help...
