Hi,
I recently had some professional photos done at horrendous expense, and
they've gome back with glossy shiny lamination all over them. Apart from
being very disappointed with the whole thing....
I find that the lamination they've put on them means that you can see them
fine, but once you put direct light on them it reflects. When I tried to
scan the photos, they came back with dots all over - like i'd spread dust
all over my scanner. I was able to remove the effect somewhat with 'dust
and scratches' filter, but it made it all a bit blurry, and grey.
Does anyone know any cunning scanner techniques, or failing that, software
techniques to prevent this. I can post an image if someone wants to look.
