Hi Carol,I don't know if 3D Studio Max is any easier to use than other
3D graphics packages. But I do know one advantage it has - a realtime
rendering engine plug-in called Cult 3D. Cult allows sophisticated,
realistic objects to be rendered in realtime because it offers features
like phong shading, bump mapping and environment mapping. And above all,
it's multiplatform so everyone on the web can see your work in realtime.
VRML is no comparison.

The site for the plug-in and samples is http://www.cult3d.com. After you
install the plug-in you can find additional samples at
http://www.kasan.se/cult3d/samples.html

For those of you using 3D Studio Max there is a free exporter viewer
which allows you to see how the plug-in works but doesn't allow you to
save the files.

Cheers,
John
