Yes, it is, isn't it? How about the Guild putting together a page guiding
prospective buyers to useful sites for pricing, various companies that make
scanners, etc? It would save a lot of time and aid others in their search
for the perfect scanner.
I've used my HP Scanjet 4P for a couple years now, with great results. I'm
sure there other scanners are comparable, if not better. The software is
upgradeable at either no or low cost, and HP has a wonderful website.
Highly recommended as a starting point for said page.
