Thank you and YES..that's what I was trying to do ...and HALLELUJAH!!! it
works now LOL...

It seems I was missing  some html code which I kind of suspected.  The
image wouldn't load because the browser didn't know where to find
it...hence..adding a "CODEBASE=" tag in the <applet code> line dug it out.

Brian's idea of security was one that hadn't crossed my mind too, so I
tracked down the above info on Angelfire...it's amazing how reading some
instructions helps :) 

Oh well, that's one more thing I have learned...I won't ever forget that
darned code now ...LOL

To those of you that were so patient and helpful...a big thank you...I
*really* appreciate it and I apologize if I have been a pest.
