I don't know of any special characters for these symbols.

I do have 2 fonts at least that have them.

Actually I have the male/female symbols of both the regular... circle with
cross and circle with arrow and the symbols(signs) you'd find on a public 
washroom.

If these would help let me know.

They can be used in Word, but as for emails... unless the person who the 
email is going
to has the fonts, they won't show up for him/her.
