All fonts are available to all programs, from a plain text editor to any
graphics program that can have text applied to it such as PSP, PS,
Freehand, Fireworks etc.

All you need to do is remember which key makes what symbol... but then you can
always just press each key in turn until you get the symbol you wanted.

Just select the Text Tool, the select the font you want... in other words 
the font
that contains the symbol you want to use.

If you want more fonts check out the Fonts Anonymous link at the end of 
this email.
Fonts are also very easy to install.
