well I figured out the transparency thing then checked my mail...wow...speedy
response time.....as stated by many it was the palette thing that I was
screwing up....thanks for all the speedy replies......still looking for a
program that will let me make a rectangular sea shell border to go around an
image, or if there is an easy way to do this without a prgm then fine
