Mary,

    There are plug-ins that you can use, specifically Alien Skin, that have a
"metallic" effect, for Paint Shop Pro.  (You asked for Corel *or* PhotoPaint,
but PhotoPaint *is* a Corel product.  If you don't have Paint Shop Pro, you
can DL a shareware version at www.jasc.com.. the Alien Skin plug in's *should*
work for either...)

  The fellow who created this website does a great job of step by step
tutorials for PaintShop Pro.  There is a way to creat the effects manually in
Corel, but it's easier to do in PSP, and since it's shareware, it's worth the
download.
