Lynda Weinman has an excellent set of CDs for Flash 5 (a friend of mine 
showed me). I believe they cost in the $100-$150 range. She has put together 
a way of teaching that is very hands-on and not so much the history/theory 
behind everything. I think of Lynda's training method as the Berlitz was of 
learning. Then go to other sources to pick up the history of Flash. Go to: 
lynda.com

There are lots of sites out there that people have put together that you can 
access for free with tutorials. One resource to these sites is:

Another training site is:

You will have to login, etc. 

You probably can find other resource Flash sites by typing in "Flash 
training" at a search engine like google.com.
