<< Any ideas on thumbnail creators?
We need one which would convert all images to the same size. The images can
have
different sizes (500 x 300 px; 400 x 400px; 450 x 500px and so on). It would
be nice if the thumbnails shouldn't be stretched -- the extra space should be
of
a color that we can choose (preferrably be able to preconfigure it). >>
If you are doing this for a Web site, Photoshop versions 5.5 and 6 have a
feature under Automate that will create a page of thumbnails in whatever
common either width or height you set, link pages of the photos in a larger
size (again set to your specifications), will let you pick a background (v.
6) and write the code.
You would only tell it height or width and that would keep the photos
consistant in one dimension without distorting them. You could throw away the
larger photos if you only wanted a page of thumbnails.
If you have or get Photoshop and need more instructions, please ask.
