Hi Matt,
Gif only supports 256 colors.
It looks like there was slight color differences in the background. You picked
one color value to be transparent, but there is more then one value.
I don't know about the Gifcon, in Photoshop you can pick multiple colors to be
transparent. If Gifcon can't do that, edit the image so it has one solid color
as a background and make it transparent.
