Hi Chris,

	Was the original GIF a transparent? If so, go to your channels and delete
masked layer. Then you will be able to save as a JPEG. I just tested it out
will a transparent GIF, in Photoshop. Before I couldn't save in JPEG, because
it doesn't support the extra channel. But once deleted I could save it.

If your problem is what I think it might be, then this will help.
