I think the problem is caused by the fact that the main cell, which doesn't 
have a width attribute, behaves differently in Netscape when there isn't 
enough text to force it to the width of the screen not taken up by the 
columns with defined widths.  So I'm seeing the thin table columns each side 
of the content area wider than they should be.  Somehow I've got to force the 
content table cell to stay as wide as it can, but I'm not sure how to do it.

In some narrow cells I don't have   instead I use a 1x1 gif image.  I don't 
think there's any problem with the code, as it renders fine in Opera, which 
is usually more fussy than Netscape about sloppy coding.
