HELP! I'm having a problem with Photoshop. I've been trying to create text
links
and they are blurry. I have Photoshop 5.02, and it supposedly does text
very well, but on the browser after being made into a gif they are blurry.
Not so bad on Netscape, but my friend reports it being too blurry to read well
on MIE and AOL browsers.

Usually I transform an Illustrator 8.0 eps document into a Photoshop
document, use the sharpen filter if blurry onscreen, then change the mode
to Indexed color and rename it to a gif file. I've been using Photoshop
itself for the text on the links on http://www.en-parent.com/index3.htm.
I'm using Arial at 8 point bold, the original links were Arial at 7 point
regular. Do you know of any tricks I can use to fix this problem? The
images are only 1 inch by .15 inches and the filters are shaded and can't
be used on the text. I don't know what else to try. She even reports that
the NAEP gif, which I made in Illustrator and think I did use the sharpen
filter on, is also blurry.
