If you are just using one color for the stirpe and one color for the rest,
then make the stripe say...130 pixels wide and the rest 1500-1600 pixels
wide so that the entire graphic is about 1600 pixels by 1 pixel. This will
give you a 130 pixel wide stripe and the rest of your page will be the
other color. If you want more in your stripe than just one color (texture,
a pic, text, etc) you might want to make the height larger.

If your application tells you the graphic is too big then I suggest a new app:)
