Rosanne--

Yes, images can be sliced with photoshop. The basic approach is as follows:

1. Use guides to divide your image into sections (slices). Use the
snap-to-guides feature. Be sure each section (slice) is bounded on all
sides by guides, unless it's the edge of the image, so you don't miss any
pixels.

2. With the marquee tool, select the first section. You can use the
fixed-size option if you want to specify the pixel size, but that's not
necessary--especially since GoLive will determine the sizes of placed
images for you.

3. In the history palette, create a new document.

4. Crop the selection in this new document.

5. Save this slice with an identifiable name (so you later know what goes
where).

5. Go back to the original image. Select the next section, and repeat this
process until you get all the slices.

Of course, each slice will have to be also saved as a jpeg or gif or png.

In GoLive, create a table with the appropriate number of rows and columns.
Place an image (slice) in each cell. Use autosize. Set cellpadding, cell
spacing, and borders to zero.

And there you have it!
