Our client seeks an Executive Editor/Web Site for its Los Angeles based
headquarters.  This high tech company has built a reputation for
excellence in mainframe systems management.  The company has also
branched out into distributed systems management, application
management, middleware, and internet-related technologies.  The
organization has 1,800 employees and operates in 35 countries worldwide.


		As a key member of the marketing communications team,
this leader will create and establish the editorial platform for the
company's web site.  Broadly speaking, the Executive Editor will
determine what subject matter will best portray the company and its key
messages. This professional will also create and establish the editorial
content for the web site while delivering on an editorial calendar to
ensure that the content of the site evolves and changes to keep visitors
coming back to the site to learn new things.
	
		The successful candidate must have experience as either
an executive editor of a major publication and/or a major web site in
the Information Technology industry.

		He/she must have significant writing, editing and
editorial research skills and experience. Candidates will possess a deep
understanding of the Information Technology industry, and the IT users
and buyers to provide sound judgment about the content and tone of voice
for the web site.  The successful candidate will have the ability to
work as part of cross-functional team, as the web site is the work
product of several departments.  A Bachelors degree is preferred.
