Internet Programmer, Information Systems Department

THE COMPANY=20
Process Development Corporation (PDC) is a privately held, full-service=20
supplier, providing technical skills and knowledge based solutions to the=20
automotive industry. PDC is located in Livonia, Michigan. PDC consists of=20
five major business areas: Information Services, Engineering Services,=20
Process Technologies, Market and Customer Research, and Injection Molding=20
Technology. Since opening its doors in 1988, PDC has steadily grown to over=
=20
400 employees, with a customer base that includes Daimler Chrysler, Ford=20
Motor Company, General Motors, and other automotive suppliers as well.=20
Operations include in-house and on-site development and support teams.

THE POSITION=20
Reporting to the Information Systems Manager and the Director of Operations,=
=20
the Internet Programmer is responsible for development and/or enhancement of=
=20
custom Internet and Database Management software, dealing with automotive=20
manufacturing and process development applications using Visual Basic, MS=20
Access, HTML, C/C++ and code generation tools. The Internet Programmer will=
=20
be involved in full lifecycle, three tier client server application=20
development, as well as determining possible design scenarios for=20
interfacing, database normalization, code optimization, and report=20
generation given various operating environments. The corporate atmosphere is=
=20
extremely fast-paced and very growth oriented. The Internet Programmer will=
=20
work closely with the IS Manager and other IS team members, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS=20
A minimum of two to three years of experience with Internet application=20
development (including HTML, Visual Basic, SQL, and MS Access), as well as=
=20
two years of structured programming experience (System Life Cycle (SLC)=20
concepts and methodologies). Must be able to apply client server development=
=20
concepts and use computer-aided tools to support the development of new=20
systems. This individual should be self-motivated with a 'Can DO' attitude=
=20
and able to work within defined deliverable parameters. They must possess=20
excellent communication, technical writing, and support skills. The ability=
=20
to assess and solve problems quickly and efficiently is important. A focus=
=20
on quality and detail orientation is a must. A four-year degree in computer=
=20
related curriculum is a plus.
