CONTRACT: Script Programmer

The Job: Automating the administration of an existing online non- 
profit educational (school level) investment game.

We are in Canada. Citizenship not applicable. Virtual is fine. 

What the scripts will need to do: Each registrant needs to be 
able to register online, and have a password protected portfolio set 
up automatically. To have some "fun money" assigned to the 
portfolio, with which the registrant can buy/sell stocks. Stock 
symbol and delayed stock price quotes to be incorporated into the 
portfolio view and the balance of fun money to be adjusted 
accordingly. The total value of each Portfolio need to be collected 
weekly and listed on a results web-page. Administrative copies of 
all portfolios/pwds set up will need to go to the administrator, and a 
copy will need to be e-mailed to the applicable registrant. The 
ability for the game administrator to clear all portfolios at games 
end will need to be incorporated.

The Urgency: Unfortunately, the previous script writer who was 
hired to do the job last March has disappeared without leaving any 
forwarding address or scripts. The next 'game' corresponds with 
the upcoming school year. Hence, the urgency.
