Functional Title: PVU Course Developer=20
Location: Jersey City, NJ

Position Description: Pershing (http://www.pershing.com) is the=20
leading provider of brokerage execution, clearance, data processing,=20
and investment products and services to financial organizations=20
worldwide. We are seeking a Course Developer, to report to the=20
Manager of Distance Learning. The Course Developer will be=20
responsible for designing and developing Web Based Training (WBT) for=20
the Pershing Virtual University (PVU), which is currently hosted on=20
our intranet and on a third-party Internet site. This person will be=20
expected to apply Instructional Design concepts/practices to material=20
provided by subject matter experts (may require development of=20
material/courseware from minimal content). The successful candidate=20
will be required to design the look-and-feel for each course, create=20
course templates as needed, code all HTML/DHTML, prepare appropriate=20
graphics, and develop post-course evaluation and remediation.=20

Core Business Competencies: 4 year degree or higher (Business,=20
Instructional Design, Web Design); experience as a trainer/course=20
facilitator; ability to work independently and prioritize multiple=20
tasks/projects, flexibility and creativity.=20

Core Technical Competencies: Experience with multimedia Instructional=20
Design is required. Candidate should be able to demonstrate=20
experience with one or more of the following: HTML/DHTML coding;=20
JavaScript; Dreamweaver; Authorware; Homesite; graphics packages such=20
as Photoshop; video production for the Web=20

Additional Competencies Desired: Financial Services / Brokerage=20
Services experience and/or project management experience is=20
desirable.=20
