Second Harvest is the nation's largest, domestic charitable 
hunger-relief organization. This nationwide network of nearly 200 
regional food bank warehouses serves all 50 states and Puerto Rico by 
distributing food and grocery products to nearly 50,000 charitable 
feeding programs, including local food pantries, soup kitchens, 
homeless shelters, Kids Cafes and other nonprofit agencies. 

Web Planner/Developer - A strategic designer and dynamic website 
developer who will lead the development, administration and marketing 
of our website. The Web Planner/Developer will assist the IMC Director 
with design, content, and look of the site; work with all departments 
to create interesting, user-friendly content that conveys key issues. 
Actively promote the site to on-line media and relevant websites for 
desired target audiences to increase viewership, awareness, and 
support; maintain and continually develop the website and motivate 
viewers to support the mission; measure and analyze web strategies and 
content to increase the impact of the site. Develop the website as a 
viable fundraising tool. Integrate new technology into 
marketing/communications strategies; assess internet business models, 
identify problems, and develop appropriate solutions. Serve as a 
resource to staff to promote understanding and effective use of the 
internet for external communications. Manage vendor and on-line 
marketing relationships. BA/BS (preferred major in Communications or 
Information Services) with 3+ year's experience working in consulting, 
marketing or strategy required. Must have extensive computer and 
internet skills: PC proficiency, HTML and FTP expertise, knowledge of 
web design and a wide array of related software (i.e., Shockwave, 
FrontPage, NetObjects Fusion, etc.); strong project management, 
organizational, writing and editing skills; and knowledge of web 
server maintenance.
