Server Side Java Software Engineers: DreamLot wants you.

DreamLot, a brand new, rapidly growing e-commerce startup located on
Hamilton Ave. in downtownPalo Alto, is looking for server side Java
software engineers.
Dreamlot founder and CEO Michael Yang started MySimon
(http://www.mysimon.com) last year. Dreamlot is another business to
consumer play aimed at using the web to empower consumers without
alienating the businesses that serve them.

Dreamlot founder and CTO Paul O'Rorke are rapidly building a first-rate
technical team using cutting edge, but solid technology. We want people who
can take advice or direction but who would like to take charge of large
parts of a system that we are designing and building. Our ideal candidate
has significant real-world Java experience or is Sun Certified, with
experience using EJB, JDBC, Servlets and other server-side Java APIs. We
are building an initial prototype, and we will soon field a highly scalable
application using an application server such as BEA Weblogic or IBM WebSphere.

We are willing to train bright, dedicated, interested people in advanced
enterprise level server side Java, application server technology, and OO
design if necessary. Other desiderata: experience with source control and
versioning technology (e.g., CVS/WebCVS), RDBMS and/or OODB experience,
XML/XSL.

We are a very early stage startup (a few months old, currently at 8 people)
and we are offering generous, substantial equity positions to new hires at
this stage. We offer competitive salaries and benefits, including medical
and dental coverage.

We are looking for full time employees rather than contractors at this
time. No recruiters please.

If you enjoy working with cutting edge (but not bleeding edge) technology,
please send your resume to paulo(at)dreamlot.com. We're especially interested
in people who will enjoy building a better way to buy and sell cars using
the internet.

Note: We have a number of other openings, for example for DBAs, NT and Unix
Network and System Administrators, and for QA and test engineers.
