(entry-level) and one experienced Web

Junior Web Developer

Rapidly growing new media firm seeks Junior Web Developer. 
This is a full-time position only. Great opportunity with 
established growing firm that offers good pay and a 
friendly, casual, small firm atmosphere with an 
international high-end corporate client base. 1+ years of 
applied HTML programming experience employing straight 
coding rather than wysiwyg software. Successful candidate 
will be available in the very near future, apply accurate 
coding in a timely manner within a deadline driven 
environment. 

Position requires: 
Strong HTML skills 
Javascript (enough to do roll-overs and troubleshoot) 
Photoshop and/or Imageready (should understand web graphic 
production standards) 
The ability to produce under deadlines 
Strong organization to maintain neat and usable web sites. 

Tasks will include: 
Build original websites from designer's specifications 
Maintaining current client sites (regular updates, link 
analysis, troubleshoot) 
Recomend software 
Stay up to date with latest technologies 

We are a mac house with Windows NT machines available if 
needed.We do not allow the use of FrontPage or other 
WYSIWYG HTML editors -- only allow BBEdit, Homesite, or 
similar.

Web Developer/Administrator

Small new media firm in Old Town Alexandria seeks a Web 
Developer/Administrator. This is a full-time, on-site 
position only. Great opportunity with established growing 
firm that offers good pay and a friendly, casual, small 
firm atmosphere with an international high-end corporate 
client base.

Position requires: 
Strong HTML skills (using BBEdit or Homesite, no WYSIWIG 
editors) 
Javascript (enough to do roll-overs and troubleshoot) 
cgi/perl (must understand and be able to write basic form 
scripts and understand enough to learn as you go) 
Photoshop and/or Imageready (should understand web graphic 
production standards) 
Strong organization to maintain neat web sites and to 
effectively deal with vendors. 
Desire to interact with both computers and people :-) 

Duties will include both Site Development and Site 
Administration. Perfect candidate will be experienced 
creating web pages and have the desire to expand 
programming skills. They will also be capable of dealing with 3rd 
parties (see detailed Site Admin tasks below). Small firm 
environment requires variety of duties and challenges. 

Site Development tasks will include: 
Build original websites from designer's specifications 
Maintaining current client sites (regular updates, link 
analysis, troubleshoot) 
Option to do some graphic design 
Troubleshoot office equipment 
Recommend software 
Stay up to date with latest technologies 

Site Administration tasks will include: 
Act as Liaison with web server host (1 NT and 1 UNIX) and 
coordinate all changes 
Act as Liaison with DSL provider and coordinate all changes

Submit sites to search engines and keep up-to-date on 
related issues (how to get the best results for our 
clients) 
Register domain names and administer all transfers.
