Tidemark is currently recruiting for a number of information
development positions. These require a high level of experience,
professionalism, and enthusiasm for creating new forms of delivering training
and documentation. All positions are permanent and full-time. Some positions
start in December. Some positions start in First Quarter 2000. Report to
Director of Customer Training and Education.

Web Content Development Specialist (2 positions)
Write technical and training content for delivery via the web. Must be able
to use HTML without the assistance of a WYSIWIG editor. Familiar with web
standards for content display. Ability to prepare graphics and modify
JavaScript. Experience managing publishing and maintenance of web-sites a
major plus. Work as part of a development team that includes programming,
marketing, technical services, and documentation personnel. Requires a
minimum of 3 years experience working on web-based content. Strong project
management skills in a software environment required. Degree or certificate
in technical communications preferred. 

Training Coordinator (1 position)
Assist in the development of training materials by writing, editing, testing,
copying, and coordinating printing and shipping. Manage training calendar
wokring with project managers, customers, and trainers. Manage scheduling of
on-site training room. Manage weekly staff training sessions, including
determining topics and speakers. Coordinate the delivery of training and
training materials to customers and assist technical trainers in preparing for
and delivering training through the United States. Deliver new hire training
sessions after learning company products. Strong project management skills in a
software environment required.

Managing Editor
The Managing Editor provides overall guidance to the documentation teams to
ensure that the writing style and content meet the user's needs. Technical
Editors focus on developmental and substantive editing of content.
Responsibilities may also include rewriting documentation as well as developing
and implementing style guides for the teams. The audience can include end
users, Systems Administrators, and Developers. Also manage documentations
schedules and coordinate with product marketing and program management to
ensure timely delivery of product documentation. May lead to supervisory
position within documentation group. Strong project management skills in a
software environment required. Degree or certificate in technical
communications preferred. 

Web Development Specialist
Provide technical and development support to training and documentation group
producing HTML Help, web-based training, and web-based user documentation.
Assist in identifying and implementating XML-based publishing system to
streamline production and provide true single-sourcing abilities. Must have
experience in developing web-based products using Perl, JavaScripting, Dynamic
HTML, VBScript, ASP, and other current technologies. At least 2 years
experience working in a team-environment with writers, instructional
designers, and product managers to define and develop user-centered
applications and content.

Technical Documentation Development Specialist (2
positions)

Write end-user and developer documentation for web-based and client-server
applications. Experience with HTML. Must be able to create Windows Help or
HTML Help. Familiarity with ForeHelp a big plus. Familiar with technical
documentation standards and usability., Strong writer able to document
applications with no specs. Able to work closely with development teams to
define and document application functions and features. Requires 2-3 years
minimum experience. Degree or certificate in technical communications
preferred.


Instructional Designer
Manage the development of a variety of training programs aimed at both
customers and staff. Identify material appropriate for delivery as web-based
training. Define learning objectives by audience and by course. Prepare
training
plans and then implement courseware. Work as part of the product and
documentation teams to meet product goals. Requires experience with Word,
HTML, web-based training, classroom training, and technical training for both
developers and end-users of a software product. Strong project management
skills in a software environment required. Degree or certificate in
instructional
technology, instructional design, or training preferred. May lead to
supervisory
position within training group.
