Web Applications Developer

Neptunet (http://www.neptunet.com), located in Campbell, CA and
established in July of 1998, has developed an efficient, script-driven
application which deals with "unstructured" data, such as are found on the
Internet, by performing a series of navigation and extraction activities in
an automated manner. The technology greatly simplifies the task of dealing
with multiple and dynamic data sources, is component-based, and resides
invisibly within the IE Browser.

Directed largely at financial institutions including securities houses,
brokerages, and banks, our technology simplifies the collection and
consolidation of vast amounts of data into cohesive, efficient summaries.
Additionally, it greatly simplifies on line trading by providing "One Touch
Trade" automatic navigation to a broker's site; stock research information
on current stock quotes; Buy/Sell alerts, and news consolidation on up to
date stock news gathered from multiple Internet sources, all in real time.
As a result of increased demand, and new product designs, we are seeking a
Contract Web Applications Developer to write the applications and
interfaces for web site and on-line sales environments. Additionally, the
job involves writing code that follows both object-oriented and web design
principles.

QUALIFICATIONS: This contract assignment requires a minimum of 3 years of
experience building web applications on a UNIX platform and writing CGI
scripts. We also require experience interfacing web applications to
databases and produced systems that performed web commerce. The preferred
contractor will have experience in Perl and either C or C++ and have worked
with teams which deliver on aggressive goals. We also need someone who is
familiar with HTML web design principles. Start-up experience in a high
tech company is a plus as is experience with financial software applications.
Onsite presence as well as well as green card or US citizenship are required.
We anticipate this contract will run 6 - 12 months, and possibly longer.
Competitive hourly rates will be offered dependent upon experience and
credentials.

Interested candidates are invited to email resumes to srclgic(at)pacbell.net.

All inquiries will be handled professionally and promptly.
