PRODUCERS - FULL TIME 

All producers must be extremely creative thinkers with amazing organization
skills, a good technical knowledge base, a love 
of process, dedication, excitement about user interface architecture skills
(includes making clear and obvious sitemaps and 
storyboards), confidence, the ability to motivate designers and techies to
complete projects on time, and the ability and desire 
to tackle tough problems head on. You should be able to dream up amazing
features and projects that will make  critical to 
our users' lives and drive our metrics (page views, user sessions,
registered members, and customers) ever higher. 
  

All Producer Positions are 45-60k 
  

Producer, E-Commerce 
The Producer of E-commerce will be responsible for building the  e-commerce
platform. This includes the checkout process 
as well as full integration into the site. You will be critical in making
us the largest teen e-commerce portal in the world. You 
have the ability to lead a team of designers, site developers, and
programmers to get the job done as quickly, efficiently, and 
successfully as possible. You will work closely with the technical staff
and third parties to build the application. You need 
long-term vision to dream up and develop new features and enhancements.
You're innovative and passionate about 
revolutionizing how people consume via the internet. 
  

Producer, Cars 
The Producer of the Car section must be thrilled by cars and car culture
(including new cars, NASCAR, driving safety, etc.) 
and want to get teens as excited about these things as they are. You'll
conceptualize and develop new features, choose 
submissions written by teens, do some writing, work with sponsors, build a
community around the Cars section and edit all 
copy for that section. Prior experience developing car-oriented content is
required. 
  

Producer of Distribution 
The Producer of Distribution must have a good feel for content and tools
will work best on other sites (which includes 
assessing our internal numbers concerning which features are most popular
and researching what gets the most traffic on 
individual partner sites) and conceptualize new ways to make our content
and community on those sites as effective as 
possible. This person must act as a liaison between the company (including
the content group, the community group and the 
marketing department) and the partner sites. The Producer of Distribution
will choose member-written submissions for 
content, work with the Community Manager to implement community tools, and
produce adaptations of current features for 
distribution (including working with designers, tech, etc., as necessary). 
  

Producer, Mystic 
The Producer of the Mystic section must love all things mystical, from
horoscopes to personality tests to unexplained 
phenomena, and be interested in getting teens excited about these things as
well. You will conceptualize and develop quizzes 
and tools that tell users more about themselves and their future, choose
member-written copy submissions when appropriate, 
and provide an environment where teens are compelled to discuss astrology,
dreams, their fortunes, themselves and each 
other. You will also edit all Mystic copy, build a Mystic-based community,
and identify possible sponsors and content 
partners for this section. 
  

Producer, Movies/TV 
The Producer of the Movies and TV sections must be thrilled by film and
television and want to get teens as excited about 
these things as he or she is. This includes encouraging teens to talk about
new movies, TV episodes, actors and making their 
own films.  You will conceptualize and develop new features, choose
member-written copy submissions, build communities 
around the Movies and TV  sections, edit all copy for those sections, and
identify possible sponsors and content partners for 
those sections. 
  

Producer, Marketing 
The Marketing Producer will bring to life all of our online marketing
programs, working closely with the marketing department 
to develop promotions (including contests and coverage of off-line events)
and integrate them throughout the site, 
conceptualize and execute registration  and member loyalty programs,
produce email-marketing programs and manage the 
content on partner sites. This person will also act as a liaison between
the content and marketing groups, ensuring that the 
groups are working in tandem. 
  
  

The Company: 
The largest teen destination on the Internet with an audience of three
million teens and 150 million pages viewed per month. The 
site provides 15 - 20 year old users with services including free e-mail,
homepages, music videos, audio chat, digital calendars 
and diaries. Marketing partners include AOL, Yahoo!, MSN Hotmail, Lycos,
The Globe.com, mPath, Emap Petersen and 
emusic. Advertisers include Coca-Cola, Ford, Intel, Estee Lauder, Levi's
and dozens of other blue chip companies.
