HTML Superstar

BrainTrust is looking for a bright, motivated HTML Superstar for a unique
Web portal development shop located in San Francisco. Venture backed and
poised for an IPO, this young start-up already boasts a handful of
award-winning destination portals and offers the right candidate an amazing
opportunity to show off their top-notch skills in a cutting-edge Web
environment, while simultaneously beefing up their technical repertoire.

In this role, you'll work closely with designers and programmers to develop
slick HTML applications for large-scale Websites. In addition, you will be
expected to detect and correct layout and user-interface flaws, paying
special attention to cross-browser compatibility issues.

Qualified candidates will have at least two years experience hand-coding
HTML; a strong understanding of basic design, user interface and platform
and browser compatibility issues; experience with Perl, JavaScript and
server-side scripting; exceptional written and interpersonal communication
skills; the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
proven success juggling multiple projects and deadlines at once; and a
four-year degree. A solid familiarity with UNIX environments, JHTML or ASP
is a huge plus.

This position is a straight permanent opportunity, and the starting salary

Design Guru

BrainTrust is looking for a creative and tech-savvy Design Guru for a
unique Web portal development shop located in San Francisco. Venture-backed
and poised for an IPO, this young start-up already boasts a handful of
award-winning destination portals and offers the right candidate an amazing
opportunity to show off their top-notch skills in a cutting-edge Web
environment while simultaneously beefing up their creative portfolio and
technical repertoire.

In this role, you'll work closely with producers, engineers and programmers
to create slick interactive solutions for your high-profile clients.
Specifically, you will tackle everything from page layout and typography to
graphic production and user-interface design for large-scale Web sites. In
addition, you will also spearhead a variety of offline design projects,
including marketing collateral and sales presentation materials.

Qualified candidates will be energetic self-starters with two years of
professional design experience in a Web-based environment; a killer
creative portfolio with plenty of interactive trimmings, including at least
two URLs; a passion for and deep understanding of color, typography, layout
and iconography; expertise with Photoshop, Illustrator, ImageReady and
DeBabelizer; a solid knowledge of basic Web design, including HTML, Flash
and user interface issues; outstanding oral and written communication
skills; the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines; and a
four-year degree. Any branding experience, online or off, is a definite
plus.
