Westside.com is an internet startup in the Fremont Neighborhood of Seatle.
We provide core technology for non-profits and individuals startup providing
technology and hosting infrastructure to help businesses and non-profits
create and run database-driven web applications. Full benefits include

Technical Writer

Document the Westside object model and SDK. This is a two to three months
full-time, contract position with potential to become a full time position.
Responsibilities: Research and document a JavaScript development environment
for adding custom logic to hosted, database driven web applications. Explain
to Database and Web Developers how to use JavaScript and Westside's Object
Model to automate web applications. Write and explain sample scripts.
Completed documentation must demonstrate an understanding of programming
documentation and software development principles.

Qualifications: Must have experience writing SDK's geared towards a DBA or
Web Developer audience, and strong knowledge of a scripting language
(JavaScript preferred) and Internet technologies. Writer must understand how
programmers work. The ability to write clean sample code in a high-level
programming language is required. Must have excellent writing skills,
preferably technical writing, and the ability to write in HTML. Two to three
years work-related experience required. Bachelor's degree in Technical
Writing, Computer Science, or related field desired. Work-related experience
may substitute for degree. Please submit writing samples with resume.
