CONTRACT: Web Designer

I want to completely redo my web site but I'm having trouble finding 
someone who
can layout a nice static HTML design. I don't need any backend software as I
already have that in place. What I need is someone with a nice
eye for professional layout. This isn't a full-time job; I need an independent
person to redesign my site.

I can provide the content and technical writing, although someone with a good
eye for tech writing would be a place. As far as graphic design goes (small
images, perhaps a logo), that job can be done by someone else if need be.
Since I hand edit my HTML files in a text editor, I need them to be
human-readable and nicely formatted. I also need them to be valid HTML 4.0
that pass the W3C's test at http://validator.w3.org/

I don't want to run any client-side Java and most likely, I don't want run any
Javascript either. And I absolutely hate sites that throw huge image files at
me for no valid purpose. In fact, I really like the clean look of hwg.org. It
loads very quickly. So does Yahoo and for that reason I like Yahoo as well.
Anyway, if there are any independent web site designers who are interested in
doing a total remake of my web site, please get in touch.
