REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

A Toronto-based biotech firm seeks professional web page developer to design,
construct, test, implement and maintain web site.

Company Characteristics
Cancer lab with unique and valuable diagnostic test for specific cancer,
retinoblastoma.
Substantial proprietary expertise in molecular genetics.
Closely linked to cutting-edge research in Toronto medical community
One year old, five full-time employees
Technically complex niche product ready for worldwide launch on July 1.

Immediate Task
A suite of web pages to project particular corporate image and communicate
with diverse target market. Navigation must be very clear to teach patients,
doctors and counselors about the rare disease we diagnose, and to direct
interested parties to our office. Users need mostly to learn about the
disease and treatment options. In the first stage, little user input is
needed, no more than an Email dialogue. We are especially concerned with
getting the right HTML designer who offers a fine sense for layout, quick
response to our feedback, and absolute dependability.
Approximate size: forty to fifty screens of text, diagrams and links.
Preferred Start Date : Friday, May 19, 2000
Closing Date: requests accepted until filled
Target Completion Date: June 15, 2000.
Estimated hours required: 100 to 150.

Long-Range Tasks
Expand and maintain web site. Advise and supervise web hosting. Implement
corporate Email.
