3. F/Time - NY, NY Web Technologist
Major television network has 2 immediate openings for Web Technologists.
Incumbent will
perform infrastructure technical and application developer supports in
client's web development
environment, and secondarily, client server environments. The current Web
application
development environment uses Sun Solaris O/S and the Netscape suite;
Application Builder,
Application Server, Directory Services and Enterprise Server. The current
desktop environment
is Microsoft Windows NT with Oracle and Sybase databases under HP-Unix. The
position
requires an individual with 3+ year's industry experience especially in the
technical support
or application developer support areas. We require proficiency in the
effective use of Web
development and infrastructure technologies such as Java, Netscape
Directory Services,
h as Visual Basic or Visual C++. Training to fill any gaps will be
provided. The selected
individual will act as problem solver, researcher and advisor to our team`s
clients. The
position also entails proactive review of our processes for efficiencies
and cost effectiveness,
research and evaluation of new Web technology or client server products and
the planning
and performing of product upgrades. The selected individual will also:
participate in the
evaluation of resource and technical requirements for new projects. Must
possess strong
analytical skills, energy and a clear customer focus. Strong interpersonal,
communication,

4. F/Time NY,NY Marketing Web Site Manager (Web master)
Day-to-day management of the Marketing Trade Web Site
Manage the production and design of content updates, and coordinate the
content publishing with the Marketing department. Maintain content archives
(Marketing Solutions) and update demographic search links.
Handle user registration clearance. ? Respond to user feedback and questions.
Work with IT to resolve any systems problems with the site.
Manage the next phase of improvements to the site: incorporate links to the
Research portal and Affiliate portal, provide a searchable archive file,
maintain online contests and registration databases, and implement a user
tracking system to monitor movement through site, etc.
Test site functionality when enhancements and content updates are made
Review and report on metrics gathered on the site. Determine plan for how
user tracking information will be used. Assist the development of the Sales
Transaction web site (Phase 2):
Work with the outside vendors to schedule interviews and workshops with the
client team.
Identify and collect relevant documentation for the vendors.
Assist in the preparation of workshops and deliverables and manage the
project work plan.
Coordinate internal cross-functional team meetings.
Assist in ascertaining agency requirements for the system.
