What skills do we seek in a consultant or team?
=B7 Graphic Design (Artistic elements)
=B7 Content Design (functional elements, relationships, and interactivity)
=B7 Programming and site updates

What tasks need to be done?
1. Enhancement of web site design for greater visual interest,=
 organizational
identity, and addition of other linked pages;
2. Bi-monthly to quarterly updates of "PIER Progress" pages of site with=
 text
and images provided by client;
3. Re-design of existing web site to add on-line visitor data input screen
for collection of wildlife tag information;
4. Addition of reference links to related sites of interest;
5. Discussion of feasibility and options for presenting the data entered by
visitors (graphs, tables, maps, etc.) for visitor viewing and student use
6. Discuss collecting information on web site visitors for PIER mailing=
 list;
7. Development of a web site map for documentation and future expansion.

Other considerations:
=B7 We are looking for either a team or an individual eligible to work in=
 the
U.S.. Preference will be for someone(s) in southern California region, or at
least with local references.
=B7 We will ask for a $ estimate that breaks down the job by milestones and
costs for each. Hourly rates will be helpful, but only if coupled with time
estimates for the jobs needed.
=B7 We will ask for a time line, milestones, and regular progress reports.=
 We
do expect solicitation of creative feedback from us, and will need to review
all material prior to posting. Most interactions will be with one designated
staff member, but the organization's president will be brought in to the
review process at critical decision points (we'll seek your input to=
 identify
those points).
