Web Content Writer (Redwood City, CA)

Job Responsibilities: Utilize your flair for words within a rapidly growing
e-commerce company in Silicon Valley! You will be responsible for writing
web content for our internal web site. This includes working with internal
sources to craft content, building content from ground up, editing, and
setting content priorities. You will also analyze existing and proposed
content pages for the web, verify accuracy and match to business purposes.
Required Skills: B.S. degree in Journalism, English, Communications or
Technical Writing and 2+ years' experience with web content and business
writing is desired. Must have strong command of the English language and
have the ability to write in a direct and concise manner. Solid
copy-editing, project management and Internet skills are necessary. Must
also have the ability to work collaboratively with others as well as
independently while maintaining a high commitment to customer service. In
addition, must be able to visually represent business content in a
high-impact way and feel comfortable with meeting deadlines. Familiarity
with more than one style guide is desired. Programming knowledge is helpful.
Experience with FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) is a plus. Writing
samples will be required.
