We are looking for a talented, highly motivated professional able to
translate business rules and practices into functional requirements for a
large, complex e-commerce web site. Combining various disciplines such as
user interface design, usability, strategy and information science, the
Information Architect is responsible for determining the structure and user
experience of the website.

3 to 5 years solid, hands-on experience in web development - ideally
including hand-coded HTML, graphic asset production, and some client or
server-side scripting. Strong background in either Information Architecture,
HCI, or Usability experience with a Web focus, from a WELL-KNOWN, UPSCALE 
INTERNET COMPANY or MAJOR ONLINE CONSUMER FINANCIAL SERVICES firm.

Handle UI Design, Usability, or Human Computer Interaction and experience
with user-centered design methods; strong understanding of Internet
technologies including DBs, client-server, and front-end technologies like
HTML, JavaScript, DHTML, CSS, and ActiveX. Knowledge of Microsoft Project,
Word and Excel; Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop; Dreamweaver, Flash,
Fireworks, Quark and HTML page creation tools. Experience with research
techniques such as interviewing and observations. An appreciation for
design, preferably with hands-on design experience.
