eToys, the premier online toy retailer located in Santa Monica, CA, is 
actively seeking a Web Technologist to provide advanced HTML consulting, 
development, maintenance and support of Web development.   This is a 
permanent, full-time position at our headquarters in Santa Monica and 
candidates must reside in the LA Area.

Responsibilities:
Develop Web page infrastructure related to pages with advanced features 
such as scripting and template processing. Assist with the 
development/maintenance of auto-generated pages. Assure site technical 
performance in relation to hard coded pages. Implement the latest 
technology for integrating Web-based e-commerce applications. Work with 
applications developers to integrate templated pages, e-commerce solutions, 
and content management systems. Act as a technical liaison to creative and 
engineering groups to develop pages for the eToys Web site. This position 
will be key in investigating the incorporation of new technologies into the 
current infrastructure.

Qualifications:
2+ years experience preferred with advanced HTML authoring, use of 
scripting languages for dynamic page content, development on an NT and/or 
Unix environment, and Web publishing tools. Must have at least 1+ year of 
object-oriented programming experience using one of the following 
languages: Perl, C/C++, Java, or Microsoft Visual Basic. Coursework 
completed in good standing can count for up to half of this time. Wish 
List: knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP), Cold 
Fusion products, and XML a big plus. Must be able to generate/manage 
project schedules. Must have experience dealing directly with Web 
programmers throughout project life cycle and the ability to communicate 
technical issues to people at different levels of technical proficiency. 
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
