WEB PRODUCTION ARTIST

the number one industry in the United States with tremendous possibilities

Job Description:
Onsite web page production and site management =AD primarily HTML,=
 Javascript,
and some Perl/CGI for several magazine-format web sites. Perform daily site
maintenance, updates, and build new content. Organize content, code HTML
pages, and prepare images. Develop working relationships with site editors.
Weekly site reports (oral). Larger web projects assigned as necessary
according to particular skills.

Skills Needed:
Thorough knowledge of hand-coded HTML 4.0/XHTML 1.0, web standards,
cross-browser/platform issues, good coding practices/tradeoffs, and all
aspects of web page production; able to markup complex tables and forms;
image scanning, editing, and optimization; basic Javascript, good CSS; good
eye for design, layout spacing, color, and typography. Must be detail
oriented, exhibit clear communication, and have good follow-through. We want
a team player with a desire to acquire new skills and knowledge.

Software:
BBEdit/Homesite or equivalent, FTP apps, Photoshop or Fireworks,
Illustrator, possibly GoLive or Dreamweaver.
