Jr. Technical Writer
This person will research, write, revise, and produce usable, accurate, and
accessible documentation to support 3PARdata products.  Major
responsibilities include researching, writing, revising, and producing
technical documents according to established standards and under direct
supervision; working with subject matter experts (SMEs) in other departments
to obtain information to include in the documentation; coordinating the
distribution and review of drafts and organizing meetings with reviewers as
necessary; and researching other source material such as competitor manuals,
relevant Web sites, and white papers.  This person will interact regularly
with the Director of Hardware Engineering and the Lead Technical Writer.

Initially, this person and the Lead Technical Writer will develop and
distribute for review documentation for the alpha release of the company's
products and will help develop the 3PARdata style guide.  Long term, this
person, along with the Lead Technical Writer, will develop and produce the
entire documentation suite for 3PARdata products. This position can
potentially lead to higher-level technical writer positions.

Becoming familiar with 3PARdata's products, learning FrameMaker, Acrobat,
and other software applications used in creating the documentation, and
beginning work on the CLI reference guide will be the most technically
challenging aspects of this job.

Required:
=B7	Computer literacy

=B7	Familiarity with computer technology (both HW and SW)

=B7	BA in Technical Writing, English, or Journalism or BS in Computer
Science or other technical discipline and a certificate (or minor) in
technical writing.
