Senior Java Developer

Hard Dollar is a well-established, well-funded (recently granted $11 
million in VC funding) pre-IPO company that is in the midst of growth and

We are seeking experienced, self-motivated and energetic Senior- level Java 
Developers to join our dedicated Product Development staff.

Major Responsibilities:

* Will develop applications on a Sun Solaris platform using Java, 
JavaBeans, Enterprise Java Beans, and Object Oriented Design.

* Create written Java Bean and EJB application requirements.

* Work with and/or manage the off-shore development team.

* Code reviews.

* Quality control testing.

* This position will grow into hiring and managing a team of Java developers.

* Will develop the world's best and most exciting Java 1.2 applications!

Experience and Qualifications:

* The ideal candidate will have 2 years of Java development experience and 
an expert grasp of Java development practices

* Experience with: Java Beans, JDBC, JavaScript, Java Servlets, EJB, and 
OOD required.

* Proficiency in JSP and Swing is required.

* 2-5 years of proprietary software development or E-commerce site experience

* Prior .com experience preferred

* SQL desired.

* Oracle 8i proficiency required

* BS/CS Computer Science is preferred.

* Must be self motivated and self directed

Development Database Administrator

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Product Development, the 
Development Database Administrator will be responsible for the set up, 
management, maintenance and coordination of all databases related to the 
Product Development organization.  The applications being developed are to 
be used externally on the Harddollar.com website, which is a 
business-to-business, e-commerce portal and application host for the 
infrastructure construction community.

  Major Responsibilities:

* Full-function Oracle Database Administration, responsible for logical and 
physical design, installation, database creation, maintenance, 
backup/recovery and performance.

* Work closely with web application developers and content providers (both 
internal and external).

* Design and document the database structures.

* Ensure data integrity, security, and privacy.

Experience/Qualifications:

* 2+ years experience as a Database Administrator

* Extensive experience with Oracle 8i on Solaris systems

* Experience with other RDBMS platforms a plus

* Experience within the web and client/server arenas

* Experience in custom product development environment

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent education or experience in CS, MIS or 
related degree.
